v12.030.1 – Update process did not record and restore Other Land Safe setting. Updates were causing OLS to turn off. This fix will be incorporated into the next Orb update. There is no point sending out an update to update the update process only. Thanks Lance Corrimal for the report.

HSOrb 12.026: Bug Fix Minor: Script Limits Menu not updating

The Avatar Script Limits menu text was not updating (memory and script count allowed) when the settings were changed. Fixed.

HSOrb 12.024: Bug Fix Medium: Wrong avatar born date collected

I tracked the problem with the Born Date of avatars.

I assumed SL did precedence a certain way and it turned out it was the opposite.

Press Updates on your main menu to get the fix.

HSOrb 12.023: Minor: Extra information in logs

• Added avatar born date text to log as reported by SL server to investigate wrong date reports. (nova.straaf)
• Added UTC time to Visitor IMs for people who get the messages aggregated into email. (Halbert Bienenstich)

HS Orb Bug: Incorrect avatar birthdates being recorded

I have multiple reports from one person (nova.straff) in one Region of avatar birth dates occasionally being reported by llRequestAgentData recorded as the current date rather than a real date from years ago. This can lead to people being booted out by the Orb if you use Age Limits when they should not be because SL is reporting oldbies as 1 days old.

One recent example has SL’s llRequestAgentData the Orb reporting “2011-05-11″ while my.secondlife.com reports “October 24, 2008″.

Region is being rebooted to see if this fixes it. If you have any similar problems please let me know.

UPDATE2: Uriel Aeon reports llRequestAgentData replies with Born: 2011-05-25 (4 days old) for someone born in 2010 (349 days old) plus other cases.

UPDATE3: Fixed in v12.024.

SL Bug: Private Estates + Group Owned objects = cannot send IM to offline avatars

I have received a few reports of IM to Email not working when the HS Orb sends IMs. When logged in IMs do work. Once you log out with ‘IM to Email’ on the Email never arrives.

After some very helpful testing with Maestro Linden the bug was pinned down to Regions not on the mainland and group deeded objects.

HSOrb 12.022: Minor fixes to Age settings

Changes:

1. Fix: Added turning off Age Limits when /8reset is used. Fixes my past mistake where I accidentally left Age Limits set to 100 days by default from happening in the future.
   
2. Fix: When command /8age off is used the Security script also takes note of the change. This will stop Updates from restoring a pre-”age off” setting.
3. Added a chat warning when Update sees, or a command activates, Age Limits. This helps alert the Operator to the above bugs so they can correct the setting it if they wish.

HSOrb 12.020: Bug: Sold with setting to remove people under 100 days old

I failed to clear a setting before selling the v12.020 Orb. I was testing the ‘ban by days old, for X hours’ feature and left it on when placing it in my vending machines.

To clear the problem type: /8age off

To Do Fix:

• Add /8age off to the /8reset command (v12.022)

Fixed now for both the shop and MarketPlace.

HSOrb v12.020: Includes ban by age for X hours

Working on adding optional ban for all avatars under a certain age for X hours only or forever. The idea being if someone is alt-griefing you continuously using new avatars you can ban all avatars under, say, 2 days old, for an hour then let the age banning lapse when the hour ends. This walks the fine line between solving alt-griefing without causing undue limitations to new users. The idea for the limited time option comes from reading a post from Jezzybelly.

I will update this post when it is ready.

Changes:

• Added ban, for X hours (or permanently), any avatar under X days old.
• Update causes: Backup / Restore of those settings
  
• New: SETTINGS / AvLimits sub-menu:
  • Move Script Limits Warn
  • Move Script Limits TP
  • Move DispProt (Display Name Protection)
  • Add Age (Minimum Age and hours until lapse)
• New command: /8age daysold [hours]
• Rename Limits button to VRange (Vertical Range)
• Fix: DispProt, Age and Script Limits obey NoAttack mode by not attacking.
• Add Settings Notecard parameters (not needed)
